Below are links to both company websites showing their products. Both connectors to not extend into or above the the front footwell floorpan with the main front to rear connector brace but do extend into the floor pan about 1 inch for the 90 degree bar from the connector to the front inner rocker panel.īoth the Wolfe Racing and the Team Z connectors are the same price. The Team Z connector is less intrusive in the rear footwell pan due to the smaller physical size of the square tubing used. There is no reduction is under clearance with this connector.īoth connectors have similar rear footwell triangle braces to the inner rocker panel in the rear and 90 degree brace to the front inner rocker panel. It is mounted to the rear footwell by welding a plate to the rear bulkhead and then the connector to the plate. This connector does NOT weld directly to or over the rear frame rail at all. The Team Z connector is physically smaller in size, installs from the top of the floor pan INTO the front frame rail all the way to the toe board. This connector does not extend over the full length of either the front or rear frame rails. This connector is a 2 inch x 2 inch tube that lays inside the front frame rail and therefore does not stick out below the factory frame rail and maintains factory floor clearance.īasically the Wolfe racing product installs from the bottom of the car, extends 1+ inch below the factory frame rails and does weld to the bottom of the both the front and rear frame rails. This connector also has the angled rear brace from the connector to the inside rocker panel in the rear footwell and has the bar from the front connector/frame rail to the front inside rocker panel. The front part of the connector is installed INSIDE the front frame rail from the top of the floor board and extends all the way to the toe board edge. It does not physically connect to or weld over the rear frame rail. This connector welds to the rear bulkhead. The difference in this connector is that this connector installs from the TOP but cutting the floor through the seat well are and opening up the floor OVER the factory frame rail. This connector also requires the floor to be cut. The Team Z connector is a 2 inch x 2 inch square tube the runs from the rear footwell bulkhead to front toe board. The exhaust still may hang and that's another story. This connector will extend below the factory frame rails about 1 inch therefore reducing clearance 1+ inches overall. This connector is 2 inches wide and almost 4 inches tall at one point and is sculpted to follow the contour of the floor pan. The front also includes a bar from the front frame rail to the front inner rocker. This connector also has the angle rear bar in the rear footwell area that welds to the side of the inner rocker panel. You weld the floor to the connector along the complete connector and the connector to the front and rear frame rails. This connector does not extend along the bottom of the front frame rail to the front edge of the front toe board. Their rails go through the floor and are "sculpted" to fit the bottom of the front floor/seat pan and weld to the bottom of the front frame rail about 8 inches on the the front frame rail. The Wolfe Racing connectors go through the rear footwell floor bulkhead and do weld to the bottom of the rear frame rails. At the bottom are links to both for everyone's review. 2003-2022 have looked at the Wolfe Racing through floor connectors and the Team Z connectors.
